Why we started.

I spent years as a financial advisor, and the same thing kept surfacing in conversations with clients who worked from home. They had the job and the flexibility. What they didn't have was anywhere to actually work. A dog barking through a client call. Kids home from school. Someone at the door mid-meeting. Their office was wherever the house allowed that day — and it showed.

When I looked at what was available to fix it, there wasn't much. Build an addition and spend a year and a small fortune. Finish a basement. Or rent an office across town and give up the one thing that made working from home worth it. For a problem this common, the options were remarkably poor.

Storage told the same story from the other direction. Drive through any neighbourhood and you'll see a commercial shipping container parked behind a house — it does the job, and it drags down everything around it. The alternative is a cheap shed or a fabric tent that won't survive a few winters. Anything genuinely well built costs more than most people want to spend. So most people end up renting a unit across town instead — paying every month, year after year, for space they will never own.

There was nothing in between. So we built the in-between.

What we believe.

Every home should have this option: a proper, finished room in the backyard. An office you can close the door on. A studio, a games room, a space to see clients. Or secure storage that doesn't embarrass the house it sits behind — bought once, kept for good, instead of rented forever.

We believe it should be priced so ordinary homeowners can actually buy one, built well enough to last, and handled properly from the first phone call to the day it's standing in your yard. We're a small company by design — no showroom, no dealer network, no layers of margin. Less overhead means a fairer price. Building to order means you're not choosing from whatever happens to be in stock. And when you have a question, you're speaking to the people who sell, deliver and stand behind the product.
